Can you hide all the wires?
Absolutely. We can conceal all home audio, video and data wiring within the wall space behind your flatscreen HDTV.
Do I need an electrical outlet? Electrician?
Yes and no. Running the appliance-rated power cord of your TV in your wall is prohibited by electrical code. One solution we provide the Datacomm™ Recessed Pro-Power Kit.
This kit features a recessed electrical outlet and a AV cable pass-through and it is hidden behind your HDTV. It is a self-contained circuit that does not require an electrician. This outlet kit uses 14 AWG Romex, the same heavy-gauge electrical wiring that powers the lights and appliances in your home. A secondary outlet can reside near your AV components as pictured in the diagram. Plug the secondary outlet into your home’s wall outlet and now your HDTV has power!
Mounts
Catamount carries a wide array of wall mounts from brands like Chief, Peerless, Premier, Omnimount and Zuum Media. A mount such as the Zuum Media B101-B Tilt Mount(pictured) is optimized for the AV contractor. It’s backing piece allows for maximum weight distribution and features cut-out spaces for your wall outlets.
